   My previous blog, My Summer With Loudoun Schools, was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it has become dated for various reasons, among them:

• I haven't interned for Loudoun County Public Schools for two summers now
• I am not located in Loudoun for most of the year
• My interests are more than just Loudoun County Schools

   What has not changed is my love of history, historic places, and all kinds of preservation and adaptive reuse.

   I want to show unique places I find, speak up for places left behind, and log my recent projects.

   Yes, I can and probably will talk of Loudoun Schools. Many of them are still near and dear to me. But that's one county -- It's time to sail down the Potomac and see what else is out there.
